![]() BEYOND MY MEANS LP LP VERSION $12.99 CASSETTE VERSION $7.99 DIGITAL VERSION $6.99 ![]() |
NOTE: The Circle Into Square store has the digital bundled with the physical for just slightly more, which is something I can't make happen over here. "The debut solo recording from Big Pauper (Panzah Zandahz to some). Seven years in the making, "Beyond My Means" sits comfortably somewhere between a 93 era instrumental hip hop record and some of the best downtempo electronic work out there today. It is a dusty, glitchy and often times noisy tapestry of found sounds, VHS beats and analog synth textures. The album draws comparisons to recent works from the Books, Broadcast, Odd Nosdam and Edan. Beyond My Means unfolds like a grindhouse double feature, that private press record you can't believe you found, or your third eye chakra babbling on after a group reiki session." -Circle Into Square.

![]() CARS & TRAINS REMIX 7" $3.99 |
Joint Circle In to Square/Token Recluse Release! Limited to 500! |
![]() SOCIAL CAPITOL LP $5.99 |
Another classic Recluse release. LA's Unconventional Science serves up the boom bap goodness with this 7-track wax debut. Due to a SHIT distribution deal (Groove) this record didn't receive the circulation we would have liked that have seen. I promise you this is one of the best instrumental hip hop albums you never heard of. Social Capitol floats somewhere inbetween jazz, psych and classic boom bap over it's 7 tracks of DJ-friendly instrumental nuttiness. Pressed on fine 180g vinyl, with a nice light matte finish this first pressing is limited to 500 copies. Vinyl design by Big Pauper/PZ. |
![]() TWO TON SLOTH CD $6.99 |
"Two Ton Sloth is not a pop record. In fact, it's so far from being a pop record, the word probably doesn't even exist in Two Ton's vocabulary. What it is though is a moving piece of poetry set to minimal and eerie sounds that hit and hit hard. In other words, Two Ton Sloth is a very, very intriguing record." -First Coast News. This is the self-titled debut from the collaborative duo of Brad Hamers (Phlegm, 3SC) on vocals and Big Pauper/PZ on production. This is the album that drove Brad & BP financially in to the ground for the rest of their life. The majority of people couldn't give half a flying fuck about the existence of this record however it remains a thoughtful and perplexing moment in leftfield hip hop. I think this is a really beautiful moment in time worth revisiting and encourage you to judge this record for yourself. A lot went in to it (our early twenties). |
![]() PLAY THE THIEF VOL.1 $5.99 |
Only have a couple more of these in stock. This was one of TR's best selling vinyl releases (1000 exist). The seven inch is gone and this is all that is left. Mister Controller 7 (Anticon,Bully) serves up 3 tasty mash-ups, 2 instrumentals & 2 party edits. As far as "jams" go there are definitely some tasty ones on here. Like "Genius" for example wich is a party edit of a super obscure "Genius of Love" cover. Also features a super chill and like-able remix of the cheese-tastic "Stay Fly" track. Classic Recluse release. |
![]() APHIDS ON THE LETTUCE: BECK REMIXED & MASHED-UP BY PZ $6.99 (marked down) |
The underground sleeper hit of 07. |
![]() SCHOOL PLAY 7" $3.99 (marked down) |
The first and only TTS wax single. That's Brad Hamers on vocals and Pauper/PZ on the production. The A-side, "School Play From a Cloud's Left Lung," sums up the collabo nicely.....low fidelity,folk-y roots, abstract wordplay, odd charm, etc. The B side features a 7" exclusive collabo between the Sloth boys & our very own Unconventional Science entitled "Elephant in Two Pieces." You can't get it on anything else. It is really the crown jewel of this seven inch release. Limited to 500. |
![]() BECK MASH-UPS 7" $3.99 |
"When these things are done wrong, it's horrendous - but when they're done right (like this) it's something to behold." This limited edition (500 copies) 7" features two tracks from "Aphids on the Lettuce: Beck Remixed & Mashed Up by PZ." Side A is a re-working of the old BDP classic "You Must Learn" and Beck's Headhunters-driven "Cellphone's Dead" off of "the Information." Fans of Cut & Paste nastiness will no doubt apreciate the last forty five seconds of this track. Side B features Kool Keith with his usual banter about fur coats, police academy, sparkles on your pores, etc. on top of a re-working of the Midnite Vultures track "Hollywood Freaks." |

Bring the war home with your very own Two Ton Sloth (Brad Hamers & Pauper) Weathermen t-shirt. Show your Two Ton Sloth pride and your anti-establishment pride at the same damn time. The design is by Pauper and these shirts come in the revolutionary color scheme of black on red. These shirts are AMERICAN MADE. Shit where you eat mu'fuckah. |
![]() ME & THIS ARMY: RH REMIXED AND MASHED UP (CD) $6.99 (marked down) |
"Really well put together blends with all the mix nuances that make these type of things memorable." -Turntable Lab "....not only upholds the honor of the music, but gives it new life and new meaning." "It's as if the white label gods planted sensors inside my brain; they heard my innermost mashup prayers, and answered them here. It's delicious." Released 2004/2005. The internet phenomenon that started it all. Pauper (then PZ) pays tribute to the almighty Radiohead & some of his favorite emcees with this 42 min collage of original remixes, mash ups, & covers. Emcees feature the likes of MF Doom, Kool Keith, De La Soul, Sev Statik, Edan, Gift of Gab, Ghostface Killah, and more. Considered a follow-up to the limited edition "Radiohead Breaks & Beats" dj tool (token recluse tr-001). A little dated by today's standards, but still worth a lil' listen. |
